About ADPexpert

Helping people in Scotland describe their genuine difficulties accurately

Why ADPexpert Exists

Many people are awarded less than they are entitled to, not because they don't qualify, but because they don't know how to describe their difficulties using the language Social Security Scotland needs to hear. People write "I struggle sometimes" when they should be explaining that they cannot perform an activity safely, repeatedly, to an acceptable standard or in a reasonable time period. In Scotland, most determinations are made on paper, so your form is your case.

ADPexpert was created to solve this problem. We help people translate their daily reality into the specific, descriptor-matched language that Social Security Scotland uses to score claims. The result is a stronger, more complete application that accurately reflects how your conditions affect you.

What We Do

ADPexpert provides personalised, activity-by-activity guidance for your ADP application Part 2. You tell us your conditions and how they affect your daily life. We generate a detailed report covering all 12 ADP activities, showing you exactly which descriptors apply, what language to use, what evidence to gather and how to prepare in case you are invited to a consultation.

Our Done For You package goes further, providing fully written ADP application answers you can use directly on your form, plus consultation preparation Q&A, a GP letter template and an evidence checklist.

How It Works

ADPexpert was built by developers and ADP policy researchers who studied The Disability Assistance for Working Age People (Scotland) Regulations 2022 (SSI 2022/54), the same legal framework that Social Security Scotland uses to score your claim. Our system analyses your specific conditions against each of the 12 ADP activities and their descriptors, applying the four reliability criteria (safely, repeatedly, to an acceptable standard, in a reasonable time) to generate personalised guidance.

Every recommendation is grounded in the official ADP descriptor framework. We don't guess or generalise. Your report is unique to the conditions and circumstances you describe.

Important Disclaimer

We want to be upfront about something important: a lot of the outcome ultimately depends on how your case is judged, and, where one happens, on the consultation itself and how questions are interpreted. No service can guarantee the result, and anyone telling you they can is misleading you. What ADPexpert does is help you describe your conditions in exactly the way Social Security Scotland expects, using the precise descriptor language they score against.

ADPexpert provides guidance only and does not constitute legal, medical or benefits advice. We are not a law firm, not a registered charity and not affiliated with Social Security Scotland. We cannot guarantee any particular outcome for your ADP claim. The determination on your ADP entitlement rests solely with Social Security Scotland.

If you need formal legal advice, we recommend contacting Citizens Advice, a welfare rights adviser or a solicitor specialising in benefits law.
